Today Mitch and I headed to Melbourne City to explore. First we went to Hosier Lane to get some video footage, it took us a while to find coffee. Mitch took his coffee at Duke’s Coffee Roaster and about thirty minutes later I found a bistro style tiny cafe in the Royal Arcade – I can’t remember the name of the place but it was really good. After that we caught the tram to Fitzroy to go to Hotel Jesus.
This morning we had a lazy start and headed into town. We had coffee at a beautiful Bistro called the Nordic Cafe. Before that we went for a drive around the mountains. Afterwards we headed to the grocery store and bought ingredients to make tacos for lunch.
Today I met my friend Nicole for brunch at Mecca in Alexandria. We were halfway through talking and gossiping when I realized I forgot to take my battery for my camera… I had planned to take some pictures of Nicole (as I want to try my hand at people photography). I had to use my iPhone instead which wasn’t too bad but didn’t have the features that I wanted. Anyway the pictures turned out pretty good! Afterwards we stumbled into a really cool and creepy (two words you never thought could be in the same sentence right?) antique store and browsed around.
Tonight Mitch, his dad Craig and I went to Fratelli Fresh, a restaurant in Sydney’s Westfield Pitt mall. The classic bar style interior was impressive, the food delicious and the atmosphere warm and intimate. I had a lovely carbonara and Mitch and Craig had pizza, we also ordered some arancini and bruschetta.
